King size bed from the 420 range, designed by Prof. Hans Hartl, manufactured by Deutsche Werkstätten München. Hartl originally designed this bedroom furniture range in 1936/37 for the Paris World Exhibition, and revised it around 1960. The offered bed dates from this period.
The bed stands out for its high-quality materials, the beautiful modernist design of the bed, and especially the delicate swivelling and rotating drawer trays. The bed is extremely rare and practically never on the market.
Materials: Frame in high-gloss lacquered mahogany. Legs and substructures of the drawer trays made of chrome-plated tubular steel. Two steel frames with spring-loaded steel mesh as lying surfaces.
The condition of the bed is very good, with only minor signs of wear for its age.
