Six rare modernist chairs, designed in 1952 by Albrecht Lange and Hans Mitzlaff for the ES Soloform series by the German manufacturer Eugen Schmidt. Lange and Mitzlaff desiged a leight-weight, almost floating chair, the exact contrary of the heavy easy chairs usually produced at that time. Many details of the design are remarkable, such as the boomerang-shaped side parts and the filigree thread tensioning of the backrest.
The materials: frame of made of stained and varnished walnut, legs made of solid cast brass, cushions with pistachio green fabric covers.
All chairs are in a very good condition for their age with only slight signs of use and some patina.
